The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:

For members: Name, address, email, telephone and next of kin contact details,
For those booking: Name, email and telephone number
How we get the personal information and why we have it
For members of the Sirens at the Helm: Most of the personal information we
process is provided to us directly by you during your sign-up as a member. We use the information that you have given us in order to:
Send you messages about business related to Sirens at the Helm (such as gig information)
Call your next of kin or share with emergency services if necessary
For non-members who contact us: Most of the personal information we process is provided
to us directly by you for Sirens at the Helm performance or membership enquiries. We use the information that you have given us in order to:
Send you initial information
Arrange event bookings
Discuss joining the crew

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we
rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do
this by contacting sirensatthehelm@gmail.com
(b) We have a contractual obligation.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
For members, we keep your name, email, telephone number, emergency contact
details for as long as you remain in the Sirens at the Helm. We will then dispose your
information by cross shredding any paper records we hold and deleting your
telephone number from our WhatsApp groups.
For others, we will delete your details after we have dealt with your enquiry, unless
you have asked to remain in contact with us
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal
information.
Your right to rectification
You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure
You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the
processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
